Pastor Bob visited us from Mexico and talked about Isaiah 60:1-4

1 “Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you.

2 see, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the people.

3 Nations will come to your light, and the kings to the brightness of your dawn.”

Gods glory must come from the church, we are here to be the light when darkness consumes the earth, the light overcomes. The Lord will exalt the church even tho now we may notice satan is exalting himself and leading a rebellion against God today, we must know that Gods glory will shine through us bringing down every principality and power of satan today.

John 5

Some time later, Jesus went up to Jerusalem for one of the Jewish festivals. Now there is in Jerusalem near the Sheep Gate a pool, which in Aramaic is called Bethesda and which is surrounded by five covered colonnades. Here a great number of disabled people used to lie—the blind, the lame, the paralyzed. One who was there had been an invalid for thirty-eight years. When Jesus saw him lying there and learned that he had been in this condition for a long time, he asked him, “Do you want to get well?”

“Sir,” the invalid replied, “I have no one to help me into the pool when the water is stirred. While I am trying to get in, someone else goes down ahead of me.”

Then Jesus said to him, “Get up! Pick up your mat and walk.” At once the man was cured; he picked up his mat and walked.

people in the church or outside of the church are like the blind;lame;paralyzed. The blind gather with the blind, the lame with the lame and the paralyzed with the paralyzed. In order for the blind, lame, and paralyzed to rise they have to get up shine, and glorify God. 3 obstacles that stand in our way are:

  1. get up and stop hanging with the same people with the same problem as you
  2. get up and stop blaming other
  3. get up and leave your past behind
